With the possibilities for physical meetings being limited a little update to the Centuria generator seems in order. Introducing the Dice Session page where a GM can share a space with players where everyone can roll dice and see each others' results. 

Its still very basic and require user interaction to pick up each others' rolls, but as the function is intended to use alongside some meeting software this hopefully won't be a problem. Suggestions for improvements are always welcome if presented in a nice way 😉

Damage Calculator

For your convenience the generator app has been enhanced with a Damage Calculator. You'll find it along with other links in the resource bar on this page!

For the basic math, simply select damage type and enter the amount of damage. Click "calculate" (or press enter) and you get the resulting trauma and pain as well as a short description containing hit location.

Now if you want to muck about you can also specify a hit location and, if wanted, a precise location as well. Further, select the armor the target is wearing (selecting the right Age first, of course) to have damage reduction calculated in one go.

Well that's about it. Oh, and you should also check out the persona option on the random names page! Sure, the results can be improved - but they also will be, especially if there is some feedback!

The Centuria Dice Roller

Another update for the character generator: the Centuria dice roller!

Select the number of rolls to make and then how many dice for each roll. Resulting dice are displayed to the left, including the [!] symbol for Critical results.

As for the generator the update introduces a few bug fixes but no new features.

Again an update of the character generator (http://generator.appcloud.se/) can be announced. This time, apart from a few bug fixes, it is the random names that have seen some major work.

Admittedly, the previous repertoire was a shambled list of various online sources - granting equally shambled results. The new names are more inline with the original intent of the game, following the cultural settings much more closely. This is particularly true for the orc and dwarven names which have seen a complete rework, including some language construction. For all you linguists out there the following short dictionaries are included so you can dissect the generated names at your lesiure.

That Old Generator...

The Character Generator (found at http://generator.appcloud.se/) has received a little update. Apart from a few minor fixes the new this is the ability to save a character and then restart at a later date or to produce several "versions" of the same basic character.

In order to use the save function a user must complete the first step of the character creation. The button will then appear above the "continue" button. The character is saved as an encrypted text file so don't go on about changing anything or it won't load.

Once you got your save file check out the "Generate" menu: there is a new option called "Load Character". The page contains a simple text box and a button. Copy and paste the content of your character save file and click load - the page will take you to the last saved step.

Please note that the character is generally only saved when changing a page - if you're halfway though assigning skills this won't be included in the save file due to... eh... development costs. Exceptions are assigning family, talents, events and derived stats.

Generator update!

The character generator has just been updated with a slightly new design. The steps of generating family, talents and events for a character are now initiated by the user rather than just mashed together by the system.

Why is this good? Because it allows for a GM function to reroll the family, talents or events of a character. You have to be logged in as a GM to use this functionality (else each step may only be generated once) and you cannot regenerate one once the next has been performed. As for now it is also only possible to reroll all of the results for a particular step and not individual ones. Expect future a update to expand on this.

Perhaps this sounds great and all, but you don't have a GM login? Well, if you want one, use the info on the Contact page and we'll fix it in no time.

Don't miss the Centuria Generator!

A small update for the Centuria Generator has just been released (you'll find it linked from the dropdown menu in the upper right hand corner, hidden under Resources, or by following the link).

So basically the Random Name Generator and Random Business Generator has become more prominent features by prompting a select option from the start page (don't miss out on the Age option!). While character generation hasn't changed both the random generators have been updated. The Random Business Generator has recieved a major addon in the form of businesses for the Age of Information - look at the site banner to know for which age you are currently generating!

There should be enough combinations for a couple of thousand businesses in there, and add the fact that abbreviations are randomly created you're unlikely to get the same result very often. Of course, the abbreviations can produce some amusing results but at least the most common curses and filtered words have been excluded...

Moving on to the Random Name Generator the only addon is a "nickname" option which is available only for the Age of Information. Checking this option adds a nickname to each character name generated - the combinations are slightly limited at the moment but will surely grow with time.

The character generator (you'll find it at the resources tab on this page) has been enhanced with a random name generator (http://generator.appcloud.se/RandomNameList.aspx) and a random business generator (http://generator.appcloud.se/RandomBusinessList.aspx), making life as a Game Master a bit more easy.

Dwarfs, Elves and more - Character Generator updated

The character generator found at generator.appcloud.se has been updated to allow creation of dwarven, elven, gnomish and orcish characters - as well as Avarai and Waipuku human characters.

Also including a few bug & layout fixes, the update adds a few new careers and martial arts realted to the new etnicities.
